First thing you should do when you move in is also read our community guidelines so that you can ensure you are aware of all the important points regarding your new home and community. We ask that all residents make it a point to be aware of all these points in order to avoid any problems and to ensure the most pleasant living experience possible for you and those around you.

♥ Your Parcel - Tech Details ♥
~ As a tenant of Orchard Heights ~
* You can change the media settings within your own parcel so that you can listen to any stream you wish or use a media player / tv in your home.
* You can check your own primcount by clicking the tierbox and choose for the primcount.
* All parcels have their own unique name, if you would like to change the name of your parcel, for example use your family name or something else that is important to you, let one of the managers know and we will gladly change it for you.
* You have full control over who enters your parcel, kicking and banning from your individual parcel is your right. You can also freeze someone on your parcel and call for further help if necessary. We can provide an orb as extra security if you would like, please contact Aiden Tigra ( aidentigra ) if you wish to place an orb on your property.

Please note that once you have paid your rent for the first time you initialize your residence at which time a manager will come to your parcel at their earliest convenience to set the parcel to group only access. Once this is done only members of the "Orchard Heights - Residents" group can enter your parcel. You are able as tenant to invite your family and guests to this group and give them a guest tag. If you wish to give someone in your household resident status simply click the tier box and add them as subtenant to your home.
If you wish to set your parcel to public access or prefer using a orb to control who enters the parcel, this is also an option. If you prefer this option, please contact Aiden Tigra to get an orb. ( aidentigra ).

* You are able to set your parcel as your home, create landmarks and you can also rezz in your parcel of course.
* The goal is to help you create your dream home. If you are in need of extra prims, contact Aiden Tigra ( aidentigra ) to discuss options. We aim to offer everyone a high quality home. Decorating doesn't have to be prim heavy, we can advise how to decorate with high detailed furniture and still remain within your prim allowance. We are here to help in any way we can please do not hesitate to contact us.

* If you are not interested in decorating your home yourself but would really like to have your home furnished and decorated with high quality style and selections please contact us. We have a professional interior designer who can decorate your home for a one time fee. These fees are between 2800 L and 15 000 L depending on the size of the home and amount of prims you have to work with.

* The Orchard Heights team is working every day to grow the community and to improve on every level. * Orchard Heights is constantly working to improve our community standard. If it so happens that you have chosen to rent a parcel at Orchard Heights and in the future you see a parcel that you love even more than the one you had originally chosen, we are always more than happy to convert any time remaining on a rental box and apply it to the tier of another parcel.

✪ About possible lag in Orchard Heights ✪
Orchard Heights has been created with a lot of detail and we currently have 17 connected sims. For some this can pose some instance of lag. If you are experiencing this, please make the following simple changes to your graphic settings and it should help alleviate you some of your lag:
​
1. Make sure your drawing distance is below 100. This is defaulted at 200+ in your standard settings. This means that your viewer will attempt to to load a lot of detail all at once.
2. Increase your cache memory to at least 6000. In your standard settings this is usually between 2000 and 3000. Increasing it will give all of our lovely details some space in your memory. ;-)
3. Use medium graphic settings.

Drawing distance and the increasing cache can be played around with. The lower the drawing distance the lesser details the viewer has to load. The higher the cache is, the more space there is for loading in the mesh, textures and such. Dont put it on max if you dont have to, unless you are on LOW graphic settings, then use the max.
​
Clearing all of your caches will help to. Cache settings can be found on 3 locations in your settings.
Go to Network and Files. Go to tab Directories.
Then you hit the button Clear Inventory Cache, then hit the button underneath there Clear Cache. Then apply. When you did this, you go to the tab Connection, there you hit Clear Browser Cache. Hit apply.

By simply adjusting settings you should be less laggy but if you are still experiencing lag and would like to address it please do not hesitate to contact owner Aiden Tigra( aidentigra ), he will gladly help you make some further adjustments to fix it.

>> Ending your Tier at Orchard Heights <<
We would hate to see you leave us, but we understand that there can be circumstances that will leave you no choice but to leave your home behind. If you are going to leave Orchard Heights as resident, then we ask you to do the following things to make everything as smooth as possible. Just like in Real Life, we would like to make sure all things are handled with mutual respect.
​
* When you know you won't be renewing your Tier, go to your tierbox and click the "Won't Renew" option. This way our managers get a notification and we can make necessary arrangements a well.
* Pick up your own prims and make sure that co-residents or guests who rezzed prims pick up their stuff also. 2 Hours after Tier is over anything that is left will be automatically returned in bulk mode. This can be very troublesome when you have no-copy items out on your parcel.
