Shining Stars Youth Sanctuary is located in Orchard Heights. We are open to all children ages 1-19 who need a place to hang out and call home. Shining Star Youth sanctuary is a warm, inviting, safe place for children to relax in, play in, live in and be a family in. It's a safe haven to foster those young people who have yet to find a place to call home. You don't have to be a resident in Orchard Heights to hang out at Shining Stars or any of the Orchard Heights sims.

**Our adoption assistance program was created to provide children with an experienced perspective on SL adoption. Our goal is to ensure you find a good family in a safe environment**

Panel Costs: 250L per week for Kids

Why 250L per week?
~ Our Program provides you with a personal assistant to help you through your adoption process. You can choose to keep your helper around for one week to help you establish your panels and profiles or keep him/her around for support right through your whole adoption process until you are cozy in your new family home :)

Your adoption assistant will be one of the Mentors here at Shining Stars Youth Sanctuary. They will help you to ensure you are providing the most complete profile possible and ensuring you are being connected with good families in a safe environment. Our aim is to help you to find suitable parents and to support you through the process. You can choose to take a week and have them help you get everything started or you can continue to get their support for as long as you wish.

There are only 6 boards for Kids, 6 boards for Teens and 10 boards for Parents. At Shining Stars we offer an exclusive adoption program. We know how hard it is to find the right match in Second Life. In the case that all boards are occupied, it might happen you have to wait a little while for your board. We announce available boards in the Shining Star group.
Why hang out at Shining Star?

- Full access to all roleplay events, outings, meals and daily living and play in the Youth Sanctuary & Orchard Heights Community. All of our events is led by qualified staff who are here to make your experience a good one and keep a smile on your face each and every day. Even when you are waiting for an available board, you are still welcome to hang out and use the facility as your hang out spot :).
- Attend any Orchard Heights Community events you want to participate in free of charge.
- You can use all the facilities in the community. Orchard Heights has currently 14 sims so there is lots to discover and to explore. Orchard Heights is also Life2 compatible.
